About this course

Overview

Designed for project collaborators, reviewers, and discipline leads, this course shows you how to participate effectively in Studio Sessions without needing to host or administer them. You will learn how to join Sessions, work with markups and statuses, and use the Markups List and reports so your contributions stay organized, visible, and easy for the team to act on.

Details

As a collaborator in a Studio Session, your main job is to add clear feedback, track your progress, and keep work moving without creating version confusion. This course walks you through joining Sessions by invite link or Session ID, navigating the Session interface, and using core tools like markups, statuses, and the Markups List to communicate clearly with your team. You will also learn how to search, sort, and filter markups, apply and update statuses, and generate markup summaries or Session reports when your access allows, so handoffs and closeout are supported by clear, shareable documentation. Finally, the course covers everyday collaboration practices such as leaving and rejoining Sessions, keeping teammates informed through chat, and understanding how your permissions shape what you can see, markup, and export.

Learning Goals

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Join a Studio Session from an invite link or Session ID and navigate the core Session interface
  • Place and edit markups in a Session, using statuses and replies to communicate progress and decisions
  • Use the Markups List to search, sort, and filter markups so you can quickly focus on the items that need your attention
  • Export markup summaries or Session reports (when permissions allow) to support handoffs, meetings, and project documentation
